i have a Haro X-7 and use it for everything and it works great and with a few extra bucks you can get the Werx X-7 from haro... their top of the line bike with a totem and dhx coil i think!! from the same designer from santa cruz that did the bullit... rear suspension system looks almost identical.

Here's my BR and it sure works for me, both "downhill" and in the dirt. Weights in at ~38.7 lbs.

Look at the Jamis Parker series. They have good DJ and FR geometry but with a low amount of travel in the back so you can effectively use them for DJ. You can even use them for gate racing and 4X. The Parker 1.0 is an all day trailbike. The Parker 2.0 has better DJ/slopestyle geometry with 2 cogs in the front in case you need to climb a hill, and the Parker 3.0 has the best DJ designed gemoetry but its got a 160mm fork and a chainguide so you can still have fun at Whistler.

There's no such thing as a frame snapping from a bunny hop. That only happens when the frame has been seriously abused and all it needs is a little bit of extra pressure to snap it

ive got a BR and i was close to getting a used blur 4x, but now ive decided to keep the BR and just put a bit of cash into the suspension(i cut corners and got a z1. and vanR not worth a penny)

my summer riding is DJs, a 7.5 mile after work trail with 1000 vertical ft, and DH at Sol vista/key/WP it works for it all.

the bottom line is that the frame is heavy because its over built(mine used to be 38libs and it felt lighter than my bros 34lib 4x) I have personally talked to employees at transition and they have only warrantied one BR total!

by the end of the summer i will be riding a 34lib. BR with out sacrificing any thing.
