how many amps you pulling? is that a little Cast Creations controller on there at the back above your lipo's? looks like you're using a little BMS too? (i can see the balance plugs going into something).

Not sure how many amps, haven't done any maths. The speed controller is some hong kong special I found for cheap online sold by some random person, took a gamble on if it work and it seems okay. There is also a BEC in front of the speed controller to power the receiver (I had a bunch of RC stuff lying around so it can be controlled from a distance and with nobody on it haha), and the balance connectors are plugged into voltage detectors. Don't really need 3 but it looks cool.

Also got rid of the gearbox and used some of the peices to make a chain tensioner. Problem is now the adaptor on the motor shaft keeps spinning off so I think I am going to JB weld it.

However still waiting for tubes so no progress on the home made bike

Now make a dummy remote to give to friends to let them try it and you keep the real one and have some laughs!

im amazed that the motor shaft even turn the chain without bending or shearing off...they look like they must only be something like 8mm?

so much keen to see some vids of this thing in action when you sort it out! Smile

Some pics of almost finished roadbike. Always wanted to build my own LTHT but figured a roadbike would be easier to start with. Hope to finish paint this week and then start with the real deal :-)

Hi
I'm new here and after reading over 100 Pages only on this tópico i have to say that your works are amazing!! Many of them above the pro rating.. Something that only someone with passion will do.

I have a question.. I know that many of you have the tools and knownledge for machining your suspension links.. But and the others? Where can i source links and links bearings?

I'm designing a frame for an electric bike more close to a downhill bike.. For now i use a single pivot (more or less like an Orange) but interested on something like a Canfield Jedi, but the links are my headache.

The other solution is to make them.. I have no fancy tools but i think, with some work it's possible. What the thikness of the Aluminium for them? 10mm? Less? The goal is about 30kg to a max of 35kg (66lbs to 77lbs) ready to run bike.
