Good pedals with a great feel. The only problem is that I have gone through 2 sets because of their unsealed bearings. I didnt watch them close enough. But overall a good feeling pedal.

A good buddy of mine has a set on his bike, which I take for a spin on a regular bassis. We both have size 12 feet, and neither of us have ever had a problem. He has been riding the pedals (v8's) for either almost two or almost three seasons. The bearings are getting to the point of being iffy, but still show signs of life. He has never greased them or done any maintenance to speak of, after all they are only a 20 dollar pedal. The only problem he has experienced is one of the axles is slightly bent, other than that, he has no other problems with them.

Does anyone know how much the v12's go for?

Their cheap and grippy...But they wear out fairly quickly. Easily worth the $40.

PS+ Rebuilding them is easy as pie, so they would last you a long time

what do gusset slim jims compare to these??

Not a huge amount of difference in the dry, but as soon as there's ANY mud or grime anywhere near them, forget the slimjims.
