just picked myself up a 2006 chevy silverado WT. Plane Jane. cant get these babies in Canada. bought it from a guy from the states who had it already converted to Km's. i love it. I still need a tonneau cover for the winter tho. im not sure what one to get, any help?
I don't know about you but you definitely ain't going to tow a wheeloader with a half ton pick up truck.
may not.. but still pulls a damn good load! Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e315/paparazzi_lyfestyle/dadstruck24.jpg 12 hay bales there those bales weigh quite a bit. if you pick up 2 of them with the new holland tv145 versatile the back end lifts up. we guess the hay bales wieghed in around 1800 pounds a peice
that truck was a 2004 f150 lariat... top of the line back in its day.. this one will get the same treatment
the f250 pulls only 2 bales more normally when we are hauling bales we have the f250 with one trailer.. either the f350 or the half ton pullin another and the semi pullin its load. things go quick Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e315/paparazzi_lyfestyle/farm005.jpg
a real truck is the chevy silverda dualie with duramax diesel 3500 engine, not any these big bling trucks. A real man ought to have truck with balls. not some little ford engine. something like a durmax diesel or cummins.
there is no need for a dually. ever. i think they look ridiculous. there is nothing wrong with fords. its all north american crap. they are built to last just past warranty and thats it. if you want a good truck get a toyota or nissan.
btw nice truck
How would you know? That means nothing. Why is it that our 77 F-150 has had no problems, not one, not even the previous owner had a problem. We can ratbag these trucks all we want and they won't die.
Sure...that was 30 years ago, but you get my point.
What's better about a Toyota or a Nissan, I don't want to turn this into a debate, but I'd like to know.
im going to admit.. if i could not own a ford.. or lincoln in this case i would own a toy. mostlikely a lifted first gen with a 7MGE swap, or a built 22re, if not then a nice ext cab taco however, toyota's have major just problems in the frame area...and body. its too early to tell with the new line up of trucks if the will have the same problem hopefully not. toyota is a great brand IMO and would own one.. in fact i am thinking about buying this one.. posted on a toyota 4x4 site i am involved with. http://www.toontoysforums.ca/viewtopic.php?t=4353
that "yota is sick. Is your first name Cody? because that is who just bought the thing. I am a huge fan of pretty much any Toyota. We have a '07 FJ, and its a hell of a lot of fun. A friend of mine just sold his '89 Toyota 1ton it was a sick truck. I saw like a 2004 Taco white and lifter with 34's on it, it was the sickest truck i have ever seen.
We have a '81 truck at my farm with the ODO maxed out.
toyota are good, on a driving programme they tested one by -
setting it on fire, putting it in the sea for a day, demolishing a building onto it and it still worked fine.
only tool they were allowed to use to fix it was a hammer and screwdriver.
oh yeah and they have two starter motors and batteries so wont ever not start.

That's a nice truck, but completely useless in the bush. It's too damn heavy and long to get into anything serious and it's probably pretty tippy with an 8" lift with 41's. I still admire it for a show truck though.
