fishercats... oh and let's not forget wildebeast Attention

And to all the people worrying about snakes, if you can get past the surprise of it, it doesn't really hurt at all.

a newt.

yes, believe it or not.. well, at least for my friend.

apparently he has no idea about salamanders/newts, and when we encountered one on a trail he was stoked to see something he's never seen before. he started taking pictures of it and after he was done for some reason he attempted to pick it up.

immediately my other friend and i yelled at him to drop it now! i had no idea what kind of newt it was, but i remember when i was little reading/learning about not touching them because it was bad for you.

luckily he had his gloves on, and we warned him not to touch his face/sinus with his gloves. he tried wiping them off in the grass just to be safe.

when we got home i looked up the breed of newt it was and it was a rough skinned newt.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rough_skinned_newt

"Many newts produce toxins to avoid predation, but the toxins of the genus Taricha are particularly potent. One thirtieth of the toxin present in the skin of an average adult rough-skinned newt is sufficient to kill a healthy adult human

The rough-skinned newt possesses tetrodotoxin, which in this species was formerly called tarichatoxin. This toxin binds to sodium channels in nerve cells and interferes with the normal flow of sodium ions in and out of the cell. This has the effect of inducing paralysis and death."

well thre's a few nasty animals/insect:
1. sheeps/aries - there so annoying, where u walking up the hill(to go down later on) there just standing and staring at u, and u don't know if they planning to run forward u or something, or when giant aries with hughe horns it's on yours way
2.all kind of flies - those are really crazies mother...., once i ride my bike and one big fly or whatever was it hit me in the head(i mean just smah over my shades) leaves just bug liquid on it ugly....
3.all "stupid" dogs - i mean all dogs who trying to get u while riding next to them

having been to scotland, your flies are particulary annoying Wink although nothing can beat norweigan midges, especially when they're in a swarm the size of a 4X4 Confused

and the critter that annoys me the most is those things called 'bobble-hats' more commonly known as hikers/walkers Madder
