wow this looks amazing - are there enough lady freeriders in the uk for this event? most races only have a handful of girls - it would be amazing to get up there and meet other girls that ride i'll have to see if i can make it (bit of a long drive)

sorry i know im not a woman,,but i am trying like heck to get mine to ride,,she finally started to ride lazy trails but gets off her bike to turn? but usualy only on the way into the trails on the way out she will ride? how can i try to get her more comfortable on her bike i try to ride with her as much as i can,,is there anything i can do to boost her confidence,,im always positive no matter what shes doing,,but i also tell her she has to atleast try new stuff to get better at them,am i being to agressive.i didnt think i was but she has been riding for 2 months and hasnt progressed at all,should i lower my expectations?

As great as it is to have a girlfriend/wife that mountain bikes, not all women are cut out for the sport. Sounds like she lack confidence on the bike. It might just be a matter of needing more time and practice. Does she seem like she really enjoys it or is she just doing it to make you happy? Perhaps you can see if there is a ladies biking club or weekend clinic? That might help encourage her as well. If you find that she really doesn't enjoy it, then you shouldn't push her to ride. Maybe help her find something else that is active that you can both do together.

she says she likes it and she does go on the odd solo ride when im at work,,although likely just through town its better then nothing in my mind,,thank you for your input,i think it has something todo with her confidence,i try to encourage her and always tell her how well she is doing.i dont expect her to ride like me although i know ladies that would whip me,ill take my time and keep trying to boost her confidence,thanx again
