whats wrong with you thats horrible not epic tou fool
dude come on you cant feel sorry for somebody who was dumb enough to try such a massive drop to flat on a bmx bike. like what reasoning do you have to support his decision to do something like that and actually think it would work out just fine?
it was dumb yea but it wasnt epic
And the fact that on the tv show "Scarred" he is joking about it and everything doesnt really make me feel bad for him especially when you blames his bike
i felt sorry for the kid in the video, he had the landing perfect and the wheel just gave up on him, i bet he didnt see that coming, sad thing is if he had if being wearing a full face and pressure suit he may have walked away with just a scratch or 2

I agree.
yeah, its really stupid, i bet most bmx riders dont even own a helmet, except pros i really dont feel sorry for him, he had no protection, he had it coming to him

I ride street with no helmet on, sometimes, but I'm not jumping freaking 18-stair sets to flat... I wouldn't do that even WITH a helmet.

For those kinds of drops (if you're landing on flat) you need to take a few precautions. Firstly, as mentioned, wear a full face helmet and full armour.
A long travel (200mm+) DH rig would be needed for this type of riding, with some strong rims and a stiff suspension setup. I saw a guy who jumped a lot of stairs with his BMX and his rim exploded upon landing - and I can tell you it wasn't pretty at all.
