The Syren is one of the nicest bikes ive ever seen, it looks so cool and is perfect for pretty much any riding, if they make a mens version i would seriously consider buying one.

You know what the sad thing is? You're getting too predictable. Seriously, you're not gonna make an impact on anyone by writing this crap. People either understand your "too-obvious-to-be-elegant" sarcastic comment and ignore it or do not understand it and make a useless comment, causing the thread to derail.

And just so we're clear, I've ridden the 5050's for a season now, and I haven't lost a single pin, nor plate. The axles' threads are ruined though, and there's a 3mm side-to-side play in the right pedal. They do, indeed, suck, but for an entirely different reason.

O+

Why would you run a pike for slopestyle? It would brake on the first big crash. And single speed? yea right buddy, no pro rides SS slopestyle.

I would take an SX Trail.

Well considering that the whole RS team rides with pikes I'd be an idiot to follow by example because we know that they obviously blew it (Brendon Semunuk, Jordie LUnn, Ryder Kasprik). But single speed, I'll take critism for that but I figure that it'd be a little more simple, it's preference that's all.

I worked at Crankworx Colorado this year. I was around all the competitors a bunch and stood in the middle of the course for the finals. About half of them were running single speed. That was a pedally course too. Many of them (Paul B included) were running SS on dual suspension bikes. The trend also seems to be to 4" bikes. It was a NASTY course too.
