Looks nicer in person, feels much better when sitting on it too. (then the previous)
Yeah they look alot better in sunlight, also the curves aren't quite as dramatic as they look in that pic. From the saddle its a sweet looking and riding bike!
i rode the last sx at chicksands and i have to say it was awesome... was good over jumps, of drops, on shore.. even wheelying it along the road was fun
don't like it that much. unless it drops like 2+ pounds with the new design, which i doubt, they should have kept it the same as last years and maybe sharpened the looks a bit instead of bending every possible tube.
the new frame is 1/2 lb heavier, but the geometry, standover height and seat height are way better than the old SXT
the old SXT was simply a slightly toughened up old Enduro with a longer stroke shock and different shuttle, and the complete bikes came with longer fork and heavier parts compared to the Enduro (which I thought was actually a better bike)
the new SXT is a freeride specific frame, and way better....it should also be alot tougher as they have strengthened all the places where the old SXT used to crack (behind the headtube and behind the swingarm pivot yoke weld)
I've got a SXT 1 sitting in my shop, and "in the metal" its actually really pretty, once you get your head around the curves
After weeks of deliberating I just bought a new sx trail 2 in the copper because it aint gold although that is what they call it. It is a great lookin bike in the flesh and well specced ,It aint the cheapest but lifetime warranty on the frame finally swung it for me.Down side is there is still more snow here than I would care for so it is still tucked up in the garage ,First ride hopefully this Sunday @ Innerleithen so will actually find out how good it is.
