Whats better...magura hs33 or an echo cnc ?

i'm fed up with me snapping magura hs33 levers now and i'm wondering if it would be worth getting an echo cnc rim brake. if anyone rides the echo one and has tried a magura aswell could you please tell me if it is worth getting the echo.

They look nice, but they are shit! Fix your magura, spend the money on braided ss lines or something.

For starters echo brake lines are about 50 times weaker than magura. Sometimes they just snap on us when we grab them.

Both of my brakes leaked like crazy. My New TR echo brake started leaking a couple months after buying it.

what happened was i snapped my whole magura lever in half so i'm gonna have to buy a new one cause i dont know how to bleed brakes or pumb the fluid through Frown i know how to do everything else on my bike apart from my hope disk brake and my now broken magura.

Is it just the lever blade? Or the whole master cylender assembly?

What ever the case, you can find a used magura on ebay or something pretty easy and use its parts.

the whole cilinder :O never happened to me before, i've snapped one before but that was on the braket on the bars. the fluid went every where and my cilinder shot out with the spring and i lost them lol! there are some picks on my profile under my trials bike album if you wanna see it?

Get a new magura master cylinder and bleed it in a bucket or something. Some people use water, but I find it always f*cks them up. Go with mineral oil. You can get it pretty cheap at a pharmacy. It's either labeled mineral oil or baby oil.

That's a shame. Bucket bleeding is really easy. Once the brake is all back together, all you do is open the bleed bolts and squeeze the lever under water/oil until no more bubbles come out of either bleed bolt. Only takes about a half an hour...

Keep using syringes. Imagine how messy submerging your whole brake under oil would be.

You don't need much, but the more the easier it is. The syringe method is best if you have it. But, for those who don't have a bleed kit, it works great.

so if i get the gist of this... you take the little bleed screw out of the lever, and submerge the port in oil. then squeeze the lever and bleed at the other end. close the slave bleed port just before the end of each squeeze.
Heavy or light mineral oil?

Its a hassle man, just use a bleed kit. Or make your own with a couple spare fittings.

If you have good syringes you can bleed your magura perfectly and not drop any oil on the floor once you get a hang of it. Use light mineral oil, lightest the pharmacy has.
