Hey,
I'm getting a new bike for the 2010 season and I've chosen the Glory DH. I've chosen this because I will start racing(B.C Cup, Canadian Open, AirDH etc.) I was wondering if this is a good bike. I weigh 230LBS and am 6'3 tall. I've previously came off a 2005 Norco Shore(last year it was a DH/Park frame) and rode a Large. Obviously the large was a little bit too large as my balls were basically hitting the top tube when on my feet, do you think you could recommend a size also? I was thinking a medium but am not sure how the Glory fits. So, Pros/Cons, any bad componentry? Every comment is appreciated except for the ratty little 10 year olds that think they know it all. I would hope that the answers are from people who have ridden/own one.

After spending a season on mine I love it. Solid frame excelent geo very versatile aswell. Can pin steeps jumps well and its tight enough to ride everything. Suspension works mint ramps up through out its stroke very sensitive to small bumps and all. I recomend it over any other DH frame I have spent time on.

What would you classify it as, a Plow bike or a poppy bike.

Mix of the the 2 it's really hard to describe...Because this bike really does do it all. But depending on your weight you really do need to dial in the spring rate just right to get the right performance out of it.

I am 5'9" and I own a medium. I would definately suggest you get the Large. I would say that the frame sizes run a tad small if anything.

As far as the suspension is concerned, I would best describe it as plush. I am running 30% sag and the bike likes to stay planted to the ground. However, it does not want to "pop" off lips like my old dh bike did. Both my brothers have Session 10's and the Glory feels more like an F1 car(will turn harder than your prepared for sometimes) compared to the Session that is more similar to a Hummer (Stable and confidence inspiring).

Hope that helps!

ya, get a large. im 6,1 and a large is fits great. but ya glory's always have had a tighter cokpit and they generally run a little smaller than other DH bikes. I have 2008 glory and it really, really good. Ive never ridden any thing so stable at high speeds, and can corner like a dream. anyway its a super good bike. oh ya but it is heavier than others

I'm 5'10" and I've just sold my medium and I'm looking for a large, don't worry about stand over height there's not a lot between them all, the small and medium are nearly identical in size and short, then the large jumps nearly 3" longer, I'm going to run direct mount and flat bars to bring it back a bit but I reckon it'll be ok for you straight off.
