8.5/10 on the Nomad...Sweet ride! With the new brakes, CCDBA, for sure a 9.5/10... Not a coil fan?
I don't want the weight of a coil. Plus I can get a good deal on the CCDB. Just got hooked up with X-Fusion as well but I am going to wait for the 2013 stuff before I order something from them.
One of the nicer Mongoose I've seen! But, its a Mongoose...I would def invest in a frame over wheels/fork...7/10

Whats wrong with Mongoose? They make good bikes, some on the cheaper side but make some damn good bikes which I hear pedal very well
Nothing wrong. For what he would spend on the Haven wheels and fork there are a lot of high end frames available. Let's be honest, the goose is a entry level frame. Putting $4,500 wheels on a Honda Civic would be kinda dumb...
Ive been considering swapping out my teocali frame for something a little lighter for the past few months.
Then I installed flow rims, 777mm bars, and a sektor air fork... and damn does it ride NICE. I'm very content keeping it around for awhile. Ive always known I'm not the best at climbing rocky or rooty terrain, but I can no longer blame a heavy clunk-ass bike. It just wants to fly uphill. Soooooo smooth and supple going down. The linkage does a really nice job and being able to change from 4.3" to 6.3" travel in the rear is really useful for the trails I ride. None of this would mean anything if I didn't have the chance to test ride an enduro this past week. Long story short, I was completely underwhelmed. The only thing I liked about it better than my 'goose was the weight diff.

My team 'Bamboo bikes' XC race bike with some added touches to the stock model such as raceface bars, sunline stem, 123 bar ends, avid brakes and ro/ro tyres

About 11kg ish, will weigh tomorrow. Could easily be dropped a lot lower though
Carbon bars, 1x9 or 10 and lighter cranks could make that thing light as hell. I give it a 7.5/10, looks like you could do some serious miles on it! 9/10 with the upgrades and the handlebar things removed.

8.5/10 for being made out of bamboo and having bar ends. Did you have to cut your grips and if you didn't what grips are you using?

9.5, the only reason it didn't get 10 is because its not mine. Love these frames, especially the workmanship around the joints and BB and its something a little different but well thought out
