Im getting a new helmet and cant decide what to get.
TSG Evolution Special Makeup. Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://i44.tinypic.com/307m4r6.jpg or
Protec B2 Gloss White. Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://i43.tinypic.com/24exr82.jpg Also would I get a L or XL, my head is 58cm? Thanks.
I faced the same problem as you, and in the end I went for the Pro-Tec, because it looks cooler, has more vents and has memory foam inside that springs back after a crash (or so the manual tells me). Just don't get the black version - you'll end up sweaty!
EDIT: This is the large size, 57-58cm, but the helmet doesn't come with extra pads that fit to your head. (I measured at 57cm but because my head is longer than average, I needed to put extra pads in the sides.)
I'll probably get the Protec because is has SXP foam, the TSG has EPS. I cant find many places that have the B2 Gloss White in large, all I've found is this one.
TSG have recently changed the interal padding design of their Evo helmet and it now feels like sh*t at the front, like you cannot pull it down enough to cover your forehead, without it putting pressure on your forehead
I've checked the padding to the original padding (of the first Evo's) and its way different
I have owned 2 Evo helmets (1 the original which was great, 1 the new style which just sucks in terms of fit) and also owned 2 TSG Evo Superlite helmets (WAY too easily damaged, not even in crashes but just everyday wear and tear...which is why I bought a TSG Evo the next time around)
my buddy John who has also owned several TSG Evo and TSG Evo Superlites and now has the newest TSG Evo reports exactly the same "fitment" issue with the front padding in his helmet, so its not just me being weird
I am now looking at Giro's new superlite potty as an alternative to my brand new and hardly used TSG Evo, as it just does not fit properly -I'd rather use my Giro Xen helmet for DJ and Pump Track as it fits properly!
Yes it's great - fits really well. I would go to your local shop if you can, and try it on first so you can get the right size. But yeah, it does a great job and has saved my head plenty of times!
