do you have any reasoning for this?

That's a good question. I had thought I heard that flat crowns lower the front end of the bike, but that doesn't exactly make sense, since the top crown being flat or drop doesn't impact the axle-to-crown height. I'm siting here, looking at my own bike, trying to visualize the difference, and the only difference I can see would be where the top crown clamps on the stanction. My flat crown clamps at the top of the stanctions, and if I had a drop crown, it would simply clamp lower down on the stanctions.

sort crowns allow you to lower your cog on the frontend. also run a direct mount and there is no possibility of your bars not being straight when you crash and burn. also the overall look is much cooler than the tall crown. the setup is also ligher and you can run less steerer.

Would it not let you lower the bars to?

use headset spacers to lower and raise height.

yes but a lower crown you dont have much room for spacers which would let the bars be lower.

Your bars might be straight after a big crash but chances are your lowers will be wrecked.. All that energy hasta go somewheres.

this is possible also. but it takes a big hit to do that. you will more than likely snap the arch on the lowers before you bend the stancions.

Huh? You can't mount an integrated stems on a drop crown? That doesn't sound right. My Junion T had drop crowns and an integrated stem. Are boxxxers different somehow? And what's this cog you speak of?
