Race Report: 2023 PeachFest RPR PeachDuro

What a Location for a post race hangout.
The 2nd annual RPR Peachduro was a smashing success! Thanks to mother nature for clearing out all the smoke, providing clear skies and keeping the temperature at a reasonable number considering it is the middle of August. Conditions in the "Three Blind Mice" trail network were as promised. Dry, Dusty, Fast and Loose. Classic Okanagan riding.

This years event brought riders from Alberta, the Lower Mainland, Vancouver island, the Kootenays and Central/North Okanagan to try and claim the PeachDuro title but it was the locals who stole the show in all categories except 1. Local trail knowledge and being used to riding in the dry heat may have played into the end results.

The PeachDuro would like to extend a massive THANK YOU!! to all the amazing supporters and sponsors who helped make this years event so successful. These sponsors include: Origin Winery for providing the incredible location to host our race, the Penticton and Area Cycling Association for maintaining the trails we race on, RPR Heating and Air Conditioning (our title sponsor), Freedom the Bike Shop for providing the vans to get volunteers out on course and for the timing system to make the race happen. A big thank you to local cafe Honey Toast for the tasty pies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners. Big ups to the Choripan Chorizo crew and Slackwater Brewing for the post race food and beers! Thanks to BadGirl Branding for all the fantastic posters and media to help promote our event and an especially MASSIVE thank you to all the rad companies who provided incredible prizing for the event.
