The Red Bull District Ride wants you as official forerunner!

By now, all the wild cards are gone and within the next few days it will become official which riders have qualified for the Red Bull District Ride. But there is another surprise in store: You can become an official forerunner for the most legendary urban freeride event in the world! Mail a link to a short video clip until August 20th with your best tricks to redbulldistrictride@rasoulution.com and if your clip is one of the best, it will get posted on the official Red Bull District Ride facebook event page for the final voting.

Stylin a superman

Obviously, not everyone can master a course that has been designed for the best of the best and that will also pose quite a challenge to the absolute freeride superstars. Therefore, you are challenged to prove your skills in a short video clip. A jury then selects the best ones to post them on the official Red Bull District Ride facebook event page. Whichever rider collects the most likes with his video until August 25th at 11:59pm CET will be declared official forerunner for the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour finals! Of course, jury and facebookers will judge your skill first and foremost, but creativity will definitely play a large part in the selection of the winner; so don’t hold back on ideas!

In Nuremberg, the winner will be treated like one of the superstars. The occasion will be captured on film for posterity by a helmet cam and film team, so that the forerunner will receive the fame he deserves. Naturally, the rider is invited to the entire trip. Red Bull is looking forward to meeting a new talent in Nuremberg!

Amir s getting ready for the RBDR

One of the riders who have already qualified for the Red Bull District Ride is Amir Kabbani (GER). He will not only have a lot to say about the forerunner clips, but will share his wisdom with us in his blog on www.redbulldistrictride.com. It is definitely worth a read and check in on the pro as he prepares for the long awaited contest and shares some inside info.

When I heard "District Ride" I sort of thought it would be like the Thrashbike Jam, with lots of cement and wood and a street feel. I'm sort of dissapointed that it's just another dirt jump comp. There needs to be some urban freeride in this freeride tour

I am also unexcited about the District Ride. The final for the FMB is yet another dirt jump contest. There was only one big mtn event in the entire tour... I question the MB part of the FMB.

Yeah, this entire event (excluding Kokanee Crankworx) has been mainly small courses. I doubt I'd have any trouble on any of those courses. Oh well, this means that next year will be massive to make up for this year!

"I doubt I'd have any trouble on any of those courses"
yeh, you could probably ride the course, but competitions aren't about being able to ride the course, its about seeing how big and crazy you can go!
If these courses are so easy though, im guessing your gunna win this video thing and the competition its self?

Yeah. Anybody can hit jumps. Just takes balls, thats all!

Hitting the jumps is easy, anyone could do it. Landing, however, would prove quite tricky Razz
