DMR Red Shift Tires

DMR - Red Shift. From the guys who brought you the World famous V12 Pedal comes their new XC tire with an aggressive and sharp tread that's ideal for the fast approaching winter months.

Check em out!An aggressive off road tire for soft conditions, the DMR Red Shift tread comprises of narrow strips with bold blocks on each arm end. Made up of 60a compound rubber (Think Maxxis MaxxPro) means they will not only dig into the soft stuff, you can expect longevity in your tire life as they won't be shredded after one long ride.

The spaced out tread will clear mud pretty well when rolling at speed and not clog up. Not as much as a conventional spiked style like the Maxxis Medusa but similar to a Michelin Country/XCR Mud, so you're in good hands.

Features:
• Large volume gives a big footprint for maximum grip
• Aggressive, staggered shoulder block bites the dirt
• Fast rolling and lightweight single ply construction

Remember these are XC tires and the sidewalls are single ply, so they're nice and light. Negative side to that is one sniff of a big rock and they shout, "Snake Eyes!" followed by hisssss, hissss.

i love how everyone says, "it doesnt look like..."

looks can be deceiving, just because a picture doesnt show what you want to see, it doesnt mean it doesnt perform the way you want it to.

I am in good hands... If I keep riding Continental.

i think everyones forgetting that this isnt a dh tyre, it isnt going to be a wetscream esque mud spike. ive un some conti's that have the lowest profile ever in the alps in the wet, and they were fine

if theyve done the testing around their local area, which is also mine then its found its way through some rpetty savage bogs due to horseriders being b astards, im sure itll be a pretty darn good XC tyre

why not make it for DH, too. looks super grippy in soft and loose condition.

these look like nice tires...might buy a set to replace my Bontrager Earls I have at the moment..tread's almost gone on them anyways...they were a solid tire..as so do these...

i agree whit erik74 ,try first and then you can give a neg comment

but that envolves buying the things!

Tread doesnt look very deep enough to make it "ideal for the fast approaching winter months" Might get a pair anyway...

 they look alittle cheap
  • - 2
 i might get them to..
  • + 4
cheap? did you read the add? Made for SOFT CONDITIONS!!! Sandy areas and light packed trails. They are lite and have a good tread pattern. They aren't a 5 pound gazoladdi. Think and read before you talk
  • + 3
im saying the rubber looks cheap on them, they look thin, the writing looks like it would just fall off. thats what i think
  • + 0
Thin, because they don't have to be thick, again, for SOFT CONDITIONS! Rubber quality is a chemical compound, how can you tell from a picture?
  • + 2
I said that the tread looked a bit shallow - I was not commenting on the rubber compond/thickness at all... I ride XC tyres that are quite thin but also have decent tread depth so that they grip into the mud Big Grin

Really like the look of these. Big Grin

ye that tread does not looks like a great mud tyre..

the front profile of these tires look like a slick tire
  • + 0
looks like the crap tyre that marzocchi make
  • + 10
Which btw is made by Nokian.
  • + 4
and was actually pretty good. this looks rubbish!
  • + 2
had a Marzocchi tire..replaced it with a Michelin red tire compound..much better Razz

but these Red Shift's look awesome..the tread looks like somethign you'd see in a sci-fi movie..love it Big Grin

they do look cool but cool isnt preformence...
  • - 2
The only good tyre DMR has come out with is the Transition tyre. Nothing beats that.
  • + 3

  • - 1
