The 'Traildog' Holiday Gift Guide

Riding trail with your dog should be a national pastime. Certain urban trails are just impossible while holding a leash and navigating singletrack. I was bestowed a 'leash-less' dog collar from RadDog and gave it great test today. After I demostrated the leash to other bikers they all remarked how brilliant it was. Its ideal for dogs who are verbally under control and everyone will love the added freedom while you enjoy the ride without fear of a pulldown. A 4 ft retractable leash tucks nicely away and I give it 5 stars for how 'user-friendly it is.

The story of RadDog and how it began:
Born in the foothills of Colorado's Rocky Mountains, the Release N Run was created to make being outdoors and active with your dog more fun and enjoyable. Running from my house in Golden, Colorado, I (Brian) would leave home with my friend's dog on the leash and run the mile on the streets to the trailhead. After reaching the trailhead and un-leasing the dog, I would always struggle with what do with the leash, since it was a hassle to carry it while running. There had to be a better way, so I went on a search to find the leash that would solve my problems. I searched the Internet and all the dog stores I could find to no avail. Thus, I set out to make my own solution to the problem. I made my first prototype with a needle, thread, and climbing webbing by attaching a janitor's key chain to a collar. The product has evolved from there and we continue to run, hike, bike, and live un-leashed.
