Sponsor a Colombian Cyclist?

A friend of mine in Pasto, Colombia, JP would like to find some way
of coming to Canada to stay and at the very least to train. He is
18 and has just graduated from high school. Cycling is in his blood,
both on and off-road and has won numerous races over the years. His
father won the tour of Guatemala and Costa Rica about 20 years ago
and is a coach and bike shop owner in Pasto (which is 10,000ft asl).
I got to your website from a link on Gravity Bolivia. Does anyone
know of a potential sponsor? Any form of assistance which would allow
him to come to Canada and do what he loves? All the $ in Colombia
is going to the Military at the moment and there is next to nothing
for Cycling. I'm off to Guatemala city Jan 16 to bike to Panama city
(and bag a volcano in each of the 6 countries) until march 16....hopefully
I can get some leads for him by then. Thanks and Propero Ano Nuevo!
