As the winter quickly creeps up on us - maybe it time to start thinking about bike decorations for the holiday season! Ya I know, there are still a few more months let before Christmas, but before you know it you’ll be struggling with last minute gift shopping again. Here are a few items that would definitely make perfect stocking stuffers – hope you’ve been good this year!
Xpedo MX Force Flat Pedals
photo
Xpedo introduced this new MX FORCE line of magnesium platform pedals for 2004/2005. Designed to fit the riding styles for BMX, Freeride and DH racers, the line features strong construction, ultra-light magnesium bodies, two types of pin sets with every model and are remarkably simple to maintain and rebuild. Pictured here are the MX-3 model, which had been proven on the NORBA DH circuit. Weight is just 408 grams per pair and they're also available in silver. The two other models are the MX-Mini, which has a smaller pedal body and is perfect for BMX or Freeriding, and the MX-1, which has a larger platform. The MX-Mini’s weigh in at 420 grams while the MX-1’s are 468 grams.

Hope Danger Boy Bake Levers
photo
Are you looking for an alternative to those stock Hope levers? Well Danger Boy, who have been making Hayes and Shimano levers just recently came out with one for Hope. For many the feel of the lever is really important – nobody wants to have flexy lever blades!! The Danger Boy levers are easy to install and have this beautiful anodized finish! They offer less flex, a nice flat face with round edges, deep machined traction grooves, and are “gripped” for the finger. Unlike the Hayes levers, which offers a selection of either gripped, straight blade or shorty designs – Hope replacement levers are only offered in the gripped variety. I also noticed that no installation instructions were in the package – if not comfortable with a wrench, I would recommend you have a qualified bike mechanic install them for you.

CTS DU Bushing Tool

photo
If you are like me and have to replace DU bushing on your shock on a regular basis – the CTS DU Bushing Tool is a must have. The CTS bushing removal/installation tool makes bushing replacement a snap. The tool requires no hammers, vise or 10mm socket – all you need is a 6mm Allen key and crescent wrench. In some cases the shock doesn’t have to be removed from the bike, just unbolted and moved into a location where the bushing can be accessed by tool. Far more efficient that using a vice and different size socket wrenches ;o)
