Bearclaw’s effort earned him a perfect 10 in Fluidity, the highest Trick Score of the day and two straight nines in Style as he aired it out over the course’s combination of big mountain drops, dirt jumps and style elements, including a giant yellow dump truck and slanted wallrides.
The field at the Adidas Slopestyle event was comprised of the stars of the global freeride scene, including Cedric Gracia, Aaron Chase and Thomas Vanderham, meaning stiff competition for the athletes and jaw-dropping tricks for the spectators.
“I’m really stoked,” said Bearclaw after his victory. “To win this prime contest with such a top-class field means a lot.”
