Santa Cruz Syndicate's Nathan Rennie is happy to be back on the podium and finish the season where he belongs, up on the blocks, as he places 3rd in the UCI World Cup Finals in Fort William, Scotland, and he finishes the series in 3rd overall.Rennie had a 3rd place qualifier (Steve Peat was 1st qualifier). As he came down the hill his split was on target with Hill and Minnaar under the 2 minute mark.
It looked as if he had a chance for the win at the split, but he finished just behind Minnaar with Peat left at the top. Peaty wins it, and the crowd went mental.
Minnaar had the overall series wrapped up and takes the World Cup title, Sam Hill places 2nd overall and Rennie is 3rd overall.
American Kyle Strait has a fantastic race, placing 12th in the downhill and 25th overall.
