As strange as
Unizaba sounds the entertainment couldn’t be better. This is the title of a short film shot by Vancouver filmmaker
Sean White featuring freeride unicycle freaks, Kris Holm and Nathan Hoover, piloting their bi-pedaled uni-wheeled machines down North America’s third highest summit, El Pico de Orizaba. The 18,410 foot high volcano lies in Mexico and when its name is grafted with the word unicycle you apparently get the film’s title. The action is a part of the
Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour that plays this weekend in Vancouver at the
Ridge Theatre, Saturday at 8 p.m. Produced by Sean White, Derek Westerlund and the dudes at
Freeride Entertainment. Also this weekend at the Festival's 2 p.m. Saturday showing, a presentation of Freeride Entertainment's Disorder II, Fat Tire Fury. Tickets at Coast Mountain Sports locations or
Ticketmaster.
