Behind the Dirt and Dust lie the men and women who are behind every bone hardening shovel, machine and like there of at Mountain Creek Bike Park, Vernon N.J.. After what was without a doubt one of the toughest Winter seasons we've endured in nearly 20 years, we finally have Spring. Out of the wood works comes the passion and the grit to make this amazing bike park better each year. This new Webisode series sheds light on those that may go unnoticed around those trails we all enjoy. When you and your buddies shred all day long only to happily come back for more fun, the team at Mountain Creek is hard at work making sure it's better each time you hit the slopes.

Head Trail Crew Supervisor - Tim Fields enjoys the fruits of his labor on his favorite Flow Trail - Breakout. With over 46 trails, 60 plus features and more than anyone could ever ride in a given day, there's always work to be done here at the park. Tim gives us some insight as to the long hours in order to make this park fresh for the picking when you roll up on that gorgeous morning in Vernon, New Jersey. On a given week, Tim and his crew are working long hours in tandem with George Ryan there Pro Rider and Trail Designer. With weeks of work and shoveling into the moonlight the only thing stopping these guys is a moment for a trail session. Burning the candle on both ends to say the least, and with a revamped bike shop and an awesome team at the park, their passion truly shows on and off the trails.

Enjoying the Spring Air at Mountain Creek Bike Park

Hmmmm which line this run...

This year aims to make a high mark with the largest race turnout on the East Coast, at over 300 riders attending the 2014 Spring Classic Pro GRT & Super D. Top level Pro's are no stranger to these slopes who frequent the mountain throughout the year - namely Aaron Chase and Jeff Lenosky among many others. With the Spring Classic underway there's also another race scene that has become a large part of the bike culture at the park. There Thursday Night Races have proven to be a great way of forming camaraderie and competition into what this sport needs and is all about. Enjoying the atmosphere with a few pints after a nice day of shredding is always a must, now top that off with some parties and events after a few races....c'mon!

Mountain Creek Bike Park - Vernon New Jersey

One of the main goals for this season and onward is to create a fully encompassed beginner specific trail that will be designed to progress a riders ability level in a natural way. There are already plenty of green style trails at the park that can easily accommodate a hard tail cross country bike or a cross country soft-tail, but Tim and his crew have something unique in mind for people to enjoy. Along with this progression comes top notch IMBA certified instructors always on hand with Pro - Intermediate - and Novice level classes available for all age groups. If you want to learn how to throw out that whip and you just need a serious coach to give you that edge, you can look no further. No matter what your age, having coaches and resources like this can really build up your riding level and take you further into progression.
Mountain Creek is also known for there many jump lines, which are strewn throughout segments of trail so as to keep things spicy each run down. They have serious pro level features as well as progression hits that can take any rider to the pro level. Their table and pump style jumps can segment into trail heads with all the rock gardens a downhiller could ever ask for. Now just finish your session with a favorite flow trail and float your rig all the way down like butter, they truly have it all here...

Gathering at the lift..

Tim would like to thank all of the Sponsors that have truly shown support and made things come into reality off the drawing board. Namely Fly and SixSixOne for helping them out with Gear and Clothing as well as Oakley with their awesome Goggles and Glasses keeping the dirt out. They're also partnered with Specialized this year and a brand new rental fleet of Demo 8's to get you down the mountain in style!

Follow to keep up with all the fun this season and get caught in the action!

Love Mountain Creek Bike Park. Miss all the blacks on the back side such as BMW, Bushwack, Upper and Lower Exodus, Asylum, and don't forget Stigmata. Great trails.

Love the vibe at MCBP. Now I just need to to sell my Fuel Ex for a Devinci Spartan or a Commencal Meta SX
