Chris Kovarik - Bike Check

Aug 25, 2008
by Tyler Maine
Chris Kovarik is easily one of the most recognized faces in DH racing today. He's been destroying tracks for years and shows no signs of slowing down. This past week was the 9 day gravity event known as Crankworx in Whistler BC and he was one of few top pros to compete in all the timed events.

Check out Chris and his CRC Intense M6 video interview inside:Chris has been on board Intense DH frames for as long as I can remember, from the M1, the M3 and now the M6 and in my mind is the face behind their brand. This year he is a member of the Chain Reaction Cycles / Intense team and is currently ranked 5th overall in UCI DH points standings.

Chris and the rest of his CRC team mates are being backed by some great sponsors that when all put together make for one great looking bike, so check it out.

I actually rather prefer Sram to Shimano, but... good bike anyway!

I'm curious, why is he riding XT group, why not a XTR one?
  • 2 1
Because he is a pro, its not how fast he can shift. He knows what gears he needs to be in and when. The XT does the job just fine.

 xt's tougher
