Mountain Creek Bike Park, named #1 Riders’ Choice by MTBParks is celebrating summer by hosting a weekly downhill Mountain Bike Camp just for kids.

Creek Kids Summer Downhill Camp, led by 3-time World Masters Downhill Champion and Expert Instructor at Dirt, Rock n Root Training, Kathi Krause, will feature four consecutive 1-day weekly learn-to downhill clinics. Held each Tuesday from July 14th through August 4th from 4-7PM, these clinics will start by reviewing the core fundamentals of mountain biking and focus on a new downhill skill each week. Each week's session will build upon the skills learned the previous week providing the Bike Park’s youngest riders with the core skills they will need to tackle the mountain top-to-bottom.

As downhill Mountain Biking continues to grow in popularity, our goal is to be the go-to place for kids to fall in love with the sport, stay active and have fun progressing their skills,” said Jim Costello, Marketing and Sales Director at Mountain Creek Resort.

The camp coincides with the grand opening of Mountain Creek’s new top-to-bottom beginner flow trail. This trail was specifically designed to introduce new riders to the thrills of gravity fueled mountain biking while using the pitch and grades of the terrain to naturally control riders’ speeds. This nearly 1-mile long trail is a long awaited addition to Mountain Creek’s 40+ miles of trail offerings.

In addition to top-notch instruction, the Creek Kids Camp includes complimentary day-lift access, photo & video documentation and discounted rental equipment if needed. The camp is targeted towards all children ages 9-15 looking to improve their skills.

The deadline to sign up for Creek Kids Summer Camp is Wednesday, July 8. For pricing info and to register, visit mountaincreekbikepark.com or click here.

You should change the headline on the main page. Mountain Creek is in NJ which is not considered part of New England.

Highland is definitely New England's favorite bike park

I'd recommend Plattekill. They have crew working very hard on new trails for their summer camps. I rode them this past weekend and they are pretty awesome.

I thought there was some other bike park in NE that everyone loved besides Highland. Then I saw NJ. Sorry, PB. NJ is the Mid-Atlantic. NE is ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, and parts of NY and CT.

To be fair, N.J. and specifically the Vernon Valley in Sussex County where Mountain Creek is located is perfectly in between the Mid-Atlantic Split to the New England States. I've ridden many places throughout the country and the Creek really does offer a unique mix of amazing riding and weather. So for the sake of argument it's got it's own little slice of heaven out there between the two regions!

@autumnmedia I'm not knocking mountain creek. I love the place. I live in the area. I was just pointing out that creek wasn't in NE.

So just to confirm. When will the beginner trail be open? Was planning on bringing some new riders this weekend.

We will be opening the new trail next weekend. Just need for it to dry out a little bit more for all this recent rain. And yes, we are the #1 rated park in the Mid-Atlantic not the Northeast, and we're pretty stoked on that!
