Is it just me or does enduro make for really awkward viewing? Don't get me wrong, I love the concept (I love mountain biking), I just still find the whole race set-up really awkward and in many ways very arbitrary with differing uplift options, stage intervals and timed descents. I'm sure racing these events must be rad, and I need to get myself along to a couple of enduro races in order to really gauge a proper opinion, but at this point I'd much rather watch a downhill race where the fastest man or woman from the gate to the finish line, getting g(k/p)narly along the way wins and everything else is subsidiary. Probably just my enduro-specific ignorance speaking I know.
Enduro racing's like Triathlon, it's best to be one of the lots of people taking part, it's made for mass participation as opposed to looking good on the TV.
