FlowRipa Enduro Fest - Report & Video

Enduro Fest S.A. is powered by friends who ride epic trails and end their day celebrating around a barbecue, drinking beer and just enjoying themselves.


This is exactly what the bikers who participated in the FlowRipa Enduro Fest 2018 got!


The event, held in the state capital, Florianópolis, counted about 80 participants from three different states.



The famous do Berne, DH da Florestinha and Colinas trails, preserved by the local CicloTrilhas group were thoroughly used by the riders over the weekend.



The FEST included a free day on the trails on Saturday, for participants to get to know the tracks and enjoy the city’s natural beauty. The ground was extremely dry, the sun shone and the day was great fun, with lots of speed.


A much-awaited barbecue and local draught beer were served in the evening. Lots of stories and experiences were shared – this is what the MTB is all about!

Theo Duarte (BES) said “It was great to participate in the Flowripa Enduro Fest. I wanted to take part as a biker and supporter, via the Brasil Enduro Series. The event’s format is democratic and really helps to bring people to the enduro. It’s like a workshop to prepare for a race. The friendly and carefree atmosphere helped me get into the mood. As a biker, I was really glad to discover a new peak, make new friends and ride my bike.”



On Sunday, the strong sunshine promised to offer everybody a great workout. The task of the day was to time the three trails inspected on Saturday using the Strava app. This was the perfect opportunity for those who had never participated in an enduro to test their skills in riding challenging tracks and leaving at the suggested departure times. The high-speed single tracks in the Berne trail, the root sessions in the DH da Florestinha and the crazy flow of the Colinas offered an amazing day on Florianópolis tracks.


A final get-together was the perfect ending. Lunch and cold draught beer were served to the bikers at the HQ. While the bikers discussed their races, their final times were calculated. Lucy Onodera (SP) and Anderson Robl (SC) were the fastest bikers.


Said Anderson Robl: “I see that the Fest format is friendlier and has less rivalry. We can all share our experiences, and new and/or inexperienced bikers can get together with more experienced ones to chat. There is lots of learning going on, the sport develops and more people join in. Many of the Flowripa Enduro Fest participants had very simple bikes, with which they would probably not take part in any official events. For me, the word that best describes this format is inclusion. “


The Flowripa Enduro Fest ended without a number plate or an official podium, but leaving lots of support to the local trail maintenance groups and fostering the basis of the modality by offering an inclusive format.
