FIRERIDE Festival 2022 took place for a second year in paradise aka, Puerto Vallarta - Mexico for bikes, tacos & good times.

This year was a 3-day event with a practice day, dual slalom racing on Friday & high jump, whip-off battle & best trick on Saturday not forgetting the festival after party with some of the best DJs in the area on both days making this an unforgettable experience of good times!

The first competition was the Dual Slalom presented by Nineyard, a head-to-head race which saw British athlete Sam Pilgrim take the win.

Saturday began at 3pm, the crowd was fired up with beers and tacos, not to mention the energetic music hyping up both the athletes and fans. First is was the High Jump which saw Mexican local Diego Werner take the win.

The next competition saw riders going side by side in the signature whip-off battle by HILX Eyewear where the judges would choose between a win, loss or draw, and the rider who won would go back up to the start to compete against the next rider. This was an entertaining event where we saw some epic whips.
In first place was 12-year-old, Harry Schofield.

The final award went to Ronja Hill-Wright from New Zealand who pushed herself to compete in all of the events.

We would also like to thank La Venenosa for keeping the drinks flowing, Polaris Vehicles for the athlete uplift, Giant Bikes for demoing their bikes on the public trails, Vallarta Tour Bus for helping with the athlete transport, and Visit Puerto Vallarta for the incredible location next to the beach!

This is sick, event looks to be growing each year! Be exciting to see what it looks like next year, I’d like to see some wooden features built like the crankworx have.
