In 2016 Rasmus had a huge crash in Malaga, Spain. The crash was so bad it ended up making his whole right side of his body numb. He couldn't eat properly, walk, or ride a bike.
It's been over a year now and Rasmus and after a lot of training on the bike, in the gym, and with professional help, he is back! Here's a little video about Rasmus Jungersen
Coming off my own recent crash dislocating my left shoulder, breaking my arm and right wrist, I've been pretty down pending surgery and a long rehab. This is inspiring and has me stoked to get on with rehab and come back stronger.
Yeah... This Saturday I whipped to the right, then over whipped left and BAM! Broke my collarbone, my scapula and I'm awaiting the results from my MRI to see if my rotator is torn. I consider myself very lucky! So I've been reading. If you want to read a story of inspiration check out "Staying Strong" the Stephen Murray story. Tragic and inspirational. If you don't know who this guy is, you need to know. All I can say, is that if you play the way we like to play, shit can go south at times. Please check out www.stysrg.com. Also, thoughts and prayers to Sam Willoghby and all the soldiers who have paid the price in the pursuit of fun and progression.
