And photo king as well - I have NEVER seen shots of that venue look like they do in his shots. Wow!!! Throw a dart at any of those for a POD. Awesome weekend, all!!!

nah, people just associate kona with freeride and beginnners, but they are well built and everyone used to want one whe they were younger.

It was truly an epic scene. I think we saw the birth of a new World Cup venue after hearing all of the pros talking about the course...

In Neko's photo caption it says he took 6th place. There is also a picture of him on the podium in what looks to be the sixth spot. But the official results say he took 9th. Anybody know whats up with that?
  • 1 0
 He was 9th.
  • 1 0
The pro men beside the podium are randomly placed. When they walked up there, they stood wherever they wanted around the podium.

Ok, that's what i thought. Still a great result for Neko! I can't wait to see how he does on the world cup circuit this year. Go TWR!

The noisemaker photo is awesome. I had the same bike a long time ago.

So did my bro Colby. I remember him jumping the biggest jump at the meadow in Redding Ca. and completely missing the landing. The first scorpion back-scratcher crash I ever witnessed. (You should've seen the reaction from Cecil Johns when it happened...)

 bryn's still got it

Wow Rachel is just back and has had several 2nds. Great to see her back

Does she appear to have "USA" tattooed on her arm?

What happened to Greg Minaar? Odd to see him off the podium...

Minnar had the hot seat for a little while, but guys like Strobel and Atkinson call this track home, and it's gnarlier than the average bear. In some cases, hot seat times were separated by thousandths of a second.
  • 2 0
Minnaar was just holding back and saving it for world cup, I think he could have easily given it 100% and gotten at least a top 3. The whole weekend he looked like he was just cruising, I think the syndicate went there just looking for some more practice for maribor rather than taking it as an actual race.

crash23- He did give his all and isn't 100% healthy from his MTX Enduro crash where smashed all his leg muscles into mangled jello. He's gutted and he knows the road ahead is hard. He'll dig deep as he is a true champion.
  • 1 0
Did not know that. With that being said, not a bad job on a tricky little hill with some fellow pinners around.
  • 1 0
Oh yeah I forgot about his moto crash, if thats the case then I think he is in some trouble, hopefully he can get it together before maribor.

 Next Up! .....Plattekill.
  • 1 0
Mmmmmm, West Coast...... Alos, theres a pocket full of PODs in there!
  • 1 0
Which is the Knee/Shin protection that Greg Minaar use?
  • 1 0
They're Alpinestars, but those must be new as they aren't on the website yet...
  • 1 0
They are just not sold in the USA. Which sucks for us.......
