Rumblefest Returns this weekend - June 7&8

Jun 6, 2008
by Colin Wilson
Tucked away on Northern Vancouver Island the village of Port Alice is home to this seasons most popular race weekend... Rumblefest!

While most racing has split the XC and DH races over different weekends, Port Alice puts their fun into a packed weekend of racing. This year's XC race has been improved with new singletrack to avoid some of the clear cut road sections. Utilizing some of the same sections as the beginner DH course the XC is a good test of all your riding skills.Saturday night always provides quite the entertainment with music, bbq, occasional alcohol induced fun and more. Remember though, Sunday morning comes quick and with the technical start to the upper race course will keep you on the edge of your seat.
