New to the Megavalanche program this year, the Speed Bike Challenge sees the riders try to hit the speed record on the glacier.

1st - Kelan Grant: 98 km/h
2nd - Kilian Bron: 97 km/h
3rd - Florian Grohens: 88km/h
4th - Mike Schuler: 86km/h
5th - Ben Hikcen: 85km/h

 Crazy gap between the top 2 and the rest. Not as crazy as the gap between number 5 and me though. I thought 75 km/h was crazy...

 A long , long time ago I hit 65 mph down a mountain pass on a road bike and put my arms up when I hit that mark.

 Meh. The first couple x-games had dh mtb in it and several riders went faster than this at Snow Summit. The spiked tires and skin suits probably helped, but they were hauling for sure. I think the fastest was near 70mph.
