GGrr, new tyres, dissapointed, they lied to me, well they didn't BUT the actual size and width of the tyre is no more than 2.3" , on the tyre says 2.6... :( New handlebar and stem thou, 680 wide. Makes a difference.
9" disc comming up for the front, new seat(lol) and have to finish the chaindevice.

turn the shock the other way around. width of tires also depends on the rim profile.

i know, the rim is wide enough, i mean the difference is too big, i would need something like doublewides to get it CLOSE to 2.6, still won't be there. And the shock, yes, the plan WAS to put it the other way around, but it doesnt fit like that, the spring plate doesnt fit inside the swingarm Frown

yeah! you're setup's going the right way mate.you just should put a bigger tyre on the front and that would do the trick ^^

as you read the description, i expected bigger tyres....Frown Ehh, still these are fine, DH tyres with anti pinch(snakebite) pritection on the sides. Soft rubber, excellent traction.

yeah i saw the description but would still be a little bit better in my opinion with a 3.0 tyre
  • 1 0
Yeah, right, it would be better with anything bigger than 2.3" =))

ooh, and the rims...well single tracks arent much of a help either lol, they lack width, and height for looks, would love to get some double tracks how i used to have.

What a monster rig! How much does it weight?
  • 1 0
Well thank you! Last time i put it on a scale it was 19.5, now with DH tyres should be 20kg, not too heavy taking the setup. Even thou i did not really intend to keep it light. Just happend to have some light parts, i would swap some parts, which would make it heavyer, but so far so good.

That's quite light taking in consideration the mamoth suspension and the sturdy frame. My stinky is equiped with Junior-T and and Fox DHX3 and is just 2 kgs lighter. I'm impressed...

...so are you intending to go Josh Bender on it?
  • 2 0
No Josh for me, well no 20m drops for sure lol, i hit what i feel i can handle, the forks i got them because i love it, the methods used and how its made, if you ever get to see one dissasambled, you will understand. By this i mean photos dont make up for anything. You have to have it in your hands. They are heavy, yes, but in my fork, you cant find nothing made out of plastic only two 2cm spacers under the springs, thats it, the rest aluminium and steel.

I hear you man, i had the opportunity of riding bikes equiped with the very first marzocchi monster t and i know exactly what you mean! I wasn't judgemental also, every person has their own way around the trails and that's what makes biking so much fun!

Keep the spirit alive and shred! Smile

  • 1 0
lol Man, it was shit as it was, now they cut everything even more down, so.....not good to be sick here, you get jack shit, medicine is super expensive, medics are dickheads, charge people just for examinations, even thou they have their own sallarys....most of them dont even care about your health, just in for the money.
