Looks great! Im going to buy this one. I thought of the one frim Race Face but absolute black costs the same and is made in UK + it has a Polish connection Big Grin . But the dream is a crankset with spiderless chainring

Thanks, good call on this ring, its really well made. The RaceFace Next SL is your friend Wink , thats probably the only other crank I'd consider Big Grin

Mnah, X0 and XX1 cost less than half and weigh only 60g more than Next SL. I have 970 XTR and I think I will buy X0. I am broke though and to be very honest no budget no problem Big Grin

Fair point, think my XTRs will be staying on here for a long time yet Smile . Thats also a good point haha, gives you more time to plan though Wink , and in the meantime your XTRs are still a great option

No chain cage? - no chain drops? Do you run it with Shadow Plus rear mech or just a special chainring?
BTW it obviously looks very clean, way I like it.

No chain device currently no, haven't dropped it yet! I'm still on 9 speed so I increased the spring tension in my rear mech to gain a similar result, runs much quieter which I'm very happy about. Occasionally the chainring makes a crack sound and it feels like the chain is slipping down the teeth under high pressure but its nothing major just a weird noise.

Cool, i'm the 1x9 man too. Have been debating about going 10 for more than year now and I know it will come one day.
So you have the 'narrow-wide' chairing type, right?

1x9 works just fine and requires less tuning compared to 10 speed IMO, may upgrade when I see what Shimanos XX1 rival is but thats a maybe haha. Yea its an Absolute Black narrow wide chainring, heres the link

I liked the design because it seemed a little different so I gave it a go Smile

I know for some it's just a chainring, but I do care just like you, and let me tell it's a beauty + it seems to be made to match the current Shimano cranks design.
Great combo!

Cheers man, I'm really impressed with it so far, it is indeed a great combo! Tempted to make some sort of top guide for the rough stuff but I haven't needed to yet so I'll just see how it goes.
