Green plate is available from the licensing office - I just asked for one when I transferred the ownership - 35$ I think . Offroad liability insurance is tough to get but a broker should be able to hook you up.
Ya I love my moto I don't really ride trails on it because it's a cr250 so it's un insurable, moto park is an awesome place to ride in Owen sound. Great track, and they have some gnarly trails. Last time I went I busted my rad in like 2 mins on the trails...
Michigan has a lot of trails, and silver lake sand dunes is way to much fun! I'm planning to go back out in the spring
I think you will have a problem getting a cr250 there, due to not being able to insure the bike ( because it's a race bike 250R - the r designates race bike. )
You will probably have a hard time getting a trail pass, without providing insurance.
The guy I bought it off had it insured and rode it there. I have green plate and insurance and I'm under 94 db so I should be good to ride there. but they are closed now for the season. Its pretty sweet to still be riding in December so I can't complain
Super fun bikes though. I'm stoked to have it - more power than I'll ever need lol
I have a spark arrestor, and a now dented to hell from riding enduro trails... Fmf fatty Also have a fmf non spark arrestor but you need it the spark arrestor for silver lake sand dunes, and I don't notice a power loss.
I actually rebuilt the whole bike chassis and entire engine. Every bearing and seal has been done on the bottom end.
When I had it apart I ended up spray painting the engine black, but am on a different cylinder head lol so mismatch color again.
It's actually got a sand paddle tire, waiting for snow lol
