In late 2012 a part of my trail was literally washed away by flood. It was partly my responsibility due to bad design. This sequence shows the rebuild. I estimated there was at least ten cubic meters of material washed away which would take huge effort to dig back. So I used the same force that destroyed trail to rebuld it - water. Temporary block caused new material to acumulate on the spot. It took just 2 days of rain and a small deviation upstream to fill the hole plus minimal work input. After that it was just the matter of cleaning old canal and building barrier so such accident will not repeat!
