Nice bike overall, kinda dropped the ball on the routing point of entry though.

yeah -- those are a lot like the carbon Coverts --- 4th hole is for the drop post --- l skipped that cause l don't think l'm going to use it.. well, at least not that one. l need a post that can drop lower. at the lowest point, that one is still not low enough for me. Marin is basically giving you the option to use external or internal routing.

Actually I was talking about the location of where Marin decided to have the holes. To have that jutting out like that, right there up at the front of the headtube does not look good at all, in my opinion. Plus having all four on one side just doesn't make sense to me. Transition did it right. Btw, didn't know it was your personal bike til now.....not meaning to bag on it or anything. I just have opinions, that's all they are, hahaa. Don't worry, I find faults with mine more than anyone's bikes.

yeah --- l think l can understand why they did four on one side vs 2 N 2 ---- l'll take some comparison pics of the Covert and Marin headtube.to explain.

is it better?
don't F -in know.

atheistically, yeah, l would prefer a 2n2 approach too.

the rest of the cable routing seems to flow well but, l didn't have much time to really look it over.

Got the major hook up on this one so l couldn't pass it up. Sorta going backwards with the old skool frame design... ok, maybe not old skool, more like been around for a while design. We'll see what all Marin did differently with their design after l ride it a bit. l read pretty much all l can read about it, watched a bunch of videos from Interbike. Sounds like its a pretty dope ride.

one thing l do like, wish more companies would do it, l like how the rear brake is tucked away where they have it.
that's totally outta harms way. and where it is, does that pretty much completely eliminate any brake jack?

*** l know for sure, that type of rear suspension gave a lot of companies with brake jack --- Kona, for example, they came up with their (forget the name) system --- they even put out a video with Dr Dew explaining how it worked --- well, ask me... design the frame better so you don't have to have these add-on products that help reduce something you don't want (like brake jack).

The goodies that the bike is made with --- all really nice stuff.

all grab ya'll some much better pics tomorrow --- l was racing to beat sundown when l took these pics.
