Hey bud, looking good, how do the wheels compare to the Hopes on EN521 as a direct comparison? Night & Day or marginal improvement? Also how are the saints? brought a pair don't know whether to put them on the Five or the rebuilt play bike (Blender)
Big differance in pickup, engage as soon as you turn the crank. lighter, look and feel pure quality. But still took the hope hoops to Glentress at the weekend for a 2 day trip The saints have been hit off everything and keep on going. For some reason my Lyriks were set at 130mm and I did a night ride from spooky wood to the bottom of Glentress and had a few naughty pedal strikes but nothing fazes them. My bud behind me said I had sparks coming off them on a hammers ride not long after I got them too haha. Real grippy with the pin spacers out and the outer pins in. Just swap them between rigs bud you'll love them
I need a new rim on the front & weighing up options, EN521 on the front or sell the current set & pick up new Hopes on Flows or maybe Crossmax!?
I will be removing all pin spacers but might just put them on the Five, the Blender is only for 4X, messing about & ridding with the family (the Five is a bit much at the Park!).
This is it...an EN521 will only set me back about £60 built by LBS, the 821 will cost circa £100 and I'd need 2 so for £200 I may as well sell mine & buy a new set but they don't do Hope Hoops built on 821's so would have to go Flows! Decisions decisions!
