That things awesome mate, really making me want a proper xc hardtail again!

Thanks! I'm super excited to get it out once the snow around here melts. I've actually never had a hardtail before. Been riding duel suspension bikes since I started mountain biking. I hear that hardtails make you learn to ride a bit better, so I decided that it's my best option.

Thats definetely true I think, I found when I used mine that if I found a particuarly nice rock section or a nice stair set I would bust out a few trials moves on the bike, They really are much more fun than you could imagine, even a XC hardtail is so versatile if you know how to use it properly...

Oh I don't doubt they're a bunch of fun. I built this bike up with fun in mind. This is made for when I was to take as little as possible with me to the trails, work on climbing and just keeping it simple. I'm gonna try and go for a ride tomorrow and see if the weather cooperates.

Looks like a fun ride. Since they're both the same travel, what would have been the price difference between the Epicon and Axon?

The Axon is about $300 more than the Epicon I have. It would have been the fork I would have bought if I didn't already have the Epicon from another bike. I just lowered it from 140mm to 100mm and I saved myself a bunch of money.

That's not bad at all. My fork is working now but in the future I'd like to get a 20mm thru-axle and the Q-loc looks appealing. Do you feel that the performance of the Epicon is on par with your Durolux?

Yes, But you're going to notice a bit more flex. It's due to the stanchions being 32mm instead of 35 of the Durolux. But I like the fork and I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon.

 Nice thanks for the info!
