Left side of the 2014 GT Fury. The Crank arm spacing between the chain-stay is a bit to my concern. It is very close to the chain-stay.

 That's a relief. Thanks pal. I've actually asked my bike mechanic but According to the 'formula' that is the correct clearance. He mentioned if he was to use spacers to 'push' out the crank arm then the contact surfaces will be lesser thus weaker the crank arm joint.

 I had 2mm spacing in my first dh frame and no issues with it ever. I think 2mm is the limit. You can also get some bb spacers or wide bb axle.
