lol the p3 would have worked a hell of a lot better than this thing in any situation... put 24 inch wheels on 24 inch frames not killer slope frames.... this bike would ride like ass
Well you could buy a pslope FRAME or you could buy a p3 FULL BIKE. And keep in mind that the two bikes literally feel identical, except the pslope has a bit of squish.
I dont want a HARDTAIL because ive always had a HARDTAIL. Ive rode bikes for 11 years, you think i give a damn what you say? Hahaha had a p.2 for 5 years, why would i not want to try something different? Keep riding your stock bikes lol
Buddy, youve probably never rode 24s lol this thing pulls on people with no effort. Im not a fuckin xc rider lol and if you read the other comments im getting 26s lol jeeesus give it a rest fella
theres a reason this frame was made with 26inch wheels... xc riders ride 29 inch wheels not 26... and only one of my bikes is stock but that is because its new.. i dont care how long you have been riding bikes! that does not mean you know whats best
Hardly any bikes came with 24s to begin with. Everyones a hater on them so i could really care less. They roll better in parks and dj's and do pretty unreal on 4x to so keep thinkin you know lol
whats hard to understand is what was going through your head when you built this haha.... this bike would not be bad at all with a new fork some 26 inch wheels and a new stem.. this is just my opinion.. you dont have to like it... im not saying that you should buy a hardtail cause there the best im saying it would have been a better option if you are tight on cash and maybe you could have upgraded the frame down the road.
Lol ill have 26s in like 3 weeks... Had those rims and bar n stem to begin with so i just threw them on temporarily.. So i dont understand what your gettin at. Nothing wrong with the forks unless you wanna land sideways for some reason. Im gonna use it for everything accept xc, is your that good enough for your poor attitude?
Why are you guys being suck dicks about it? The guy is building a p-slope over time, he is changing these parts and this is only a temporary build until he can afford the parts, as he said in about 3 weeks....
Yer i don't understand what's wrong with upgrading it gradually, it makes sense if you're tight on cash. However it is difficult to take him seriously when he uses "lol" so much.
Not everyone has a money tree in the back garden... or maybe DevVanDoobie doesn't stick his tongue up his parents rectum unlike most of you under aged children? f*ck these dickbags, build it the way you want!
I really hope this comment wasn't directed at me. Some children are given everything, but others like myself, save up and work insanely hard for what they have.
Im not sure you have a concept on money yet, you live at home am I right? with you parents? at most you'll be paying around $50 keep... the rest goes in your piggy or pocket, as your only 15 I totally understand that! I was the same! its insane how many bills turn up when you get your own place! moneys tight & things take time...
Damn! Its all about the instant gratification for kids these days. Why buy and build something super rad over time when you can get a P3 (in this example) directly. I think it is that way with alot of folks now. Everything and anything directly or the interest and enthusiasm fails and wonders of in other directions. Next week when you get your panties all in a bunch about something else that you want and get right away. We will still be riding, modifying and rebuilding our mountainbikes, regardless of wheelsize.
You were also 6 years old when these parts came out. Just so you back then there was no such thing is a 24" frame. Lots of ppl rode 24s on dirt jump frames just so ya know young fella. HALF OF THESE PEOPLE COMMENTING ON MY "OLD PARTS" are 16 years old hahaha dont even bother commenting, i was riding when you were still dodgin the penis in ur mothers womb
Im taking money advice from a kid.... Nope lol it makes perfect sense cuz i understand where these parts come from dumbass stop trolling my shit. So your saying i shiuld have bought a complete bike and did what with my parts( that are stronger then stock parts especially on specialized when it comes to hubs and rims) ?! Lol mommy, daddy buy me this complete bike cuz i want it now!!! Sorry sonny boy, i enjoy building unique bikes, been around a long while, you think i wanna ride a stock p.3?! Been there done that.
It might ride like ass cuz your probably tiny as f*ck, you wouldnt even compress the back shock on this thing. How much you weigh? 150 tops?! Pfft lol go ride a bmx or somin
That's most retarded use of logic I've ever seen. Literally every single part on a p3 is better. The rims MIGHT be stronger but only just and if they are it's because they're rediculously heavy. And why do you assume we're spoiled because we use sense when building bikes? A lot of kids work super hard, doing whatever they can to build a bike. And yeah no shit we're lighter, but we still go big, why the hell should we ride a bmx? I see sense is not a trait valued here! Then again you have doobie in your name so I don't know what I expected.
Hahah stop trolling my shittt! I dont want a hardtail. I ALREADY HAD THESE PARTS what more f*ckin logic do you want you dumb f*ck holy shit. Lots of kids work hard to build a bike.... You think i dont know that? Thats where logic comes in once again, you think i wasnt a kid puttin every penny i had into buying a complete bike that came out at the time?! Lets be honest you are going in circles on a track that runs straight. Get over it
So you say all us children are spoiled kids, yet you know there are kids that work super hard for their bikes, yet you decide to contradict yourself with that? Seems legit. And the logic of you being a biker for longer make zero sense. The technology is changing exponentially. You may know bikes from 5 years ago, but that literally means zero these days. So before thinking you know more than us "children" because you've been riding longer, you should probably think again...
i am not saying that the p3 is the best bike ever and everyone should have one i am saying that you could have spent a little over 1400 and bought a used slope bike or something better than this... you may be older but your head is still in the past! and i am not buying every complete bike on the market i have built bikes before while it is worth it in the end it is time consuming and more exspensive.
You clearly dont read what i say. I didnt contradict myself at all. Im just saying i was in your position at one point where i thought i knew everything and criticized random peoples shit on the internet. Eventually ill be buying new shit but im in no rush because ive used these parts before and know how to ride with them, i could see why you wouldnt because its "old" but i dont care. Are you going to tell a guy that used a wooden hockey stick his whole life (and doesnt mind using them still) not to? Lol your logic is the problem
You guys are fuckin retarded get off my dick please. Its called a concept of something. I can compare a sport to a sport if i want. Your just to stubborn to get it, you will learn when you get older
So much fail in these comments! Personally, I think its a nice bike, and anyone saying anything about the dorado SC obviously doesn't know what it is, and the 'why didnt you get a 24" frame' comments after youve said your getting 26"wheels ASAP are just flat out dumb. Youve done what I would have done, got the frame first as its the biggest expense, build it up with whatever ive got lying around, and upgrade when Ive got more cash. Better than the frame being sat un built for ages
I agree with you dude, except if your going to say someone doesn't know what they're talking about and then get the fork wrong (marzocchi shiver sc, manitou never did a sc dorado)
The cockpit is fine IMHO. But 26" wheels could probably be a better ride on it. But in all honesty as I have never ridden a P.slope with 24" wheels. I really cant say that with 100% confidence.
Same as any bike with 24" wheels. The 24" hype died in the early Y2K, but I still think they have some benefits on the right bike and for the right rider.
Definetely right there, a local rider here, Anthony, is a dwarf who rides everything including DH on a selection of 24" bikes and he shreds harder than anyone round here.
"So your saying i shiuld have bought a complete bike and did what with my parts( that are stronger then stock parts especially on specialized when it comes to hubs and rims) ?! Lol mommy, daddy buy me this complete bike cuz i want it now!!!"
I'll bet money that those wheels and fork aren't any stronger than the p series wheel set and an RCT. They're also probably boat anchors compared to the P3 stock parts. You can do whatever you want to your own bike and nobody should tell you that you can't, but don't go making ridiculous claims like that to try to act like your 5-10 year old parts are comparable to 2013-2014 top of the line parts. Dj/street has come a long way, even since 2010.
Not trying to harp on you. No hard feelings, but the p3 stock parts are lighter and probably stronger.
