My old "BikeIsland.com" 4130 steel 29er. This frame/fork combo only cost $360 with headset, and I built the bike for under $600. Rode it for almost 6 years (2008-2014) in 1x9 format. Looks awkward but it rode great. 28.65lbs with pedals and tubes.
