2002 Intense M1. So how can I be sure this one is a 2002? Glad you asked. It's all in the serial numbers. On M1's the first letter is the size (other models have an identifier first, but M1 don't. I guess since they are the original). So mine starts with M for medium. The second number is the year. Mine is 2, so 2002. The third number is the month. Mine is 3 so my bike is a medium built in March of 2002. The rest of the numbers are the unique identifier for the bike... So yep, mine is a 2002 that someone at the factory slapped 2001 stickers on. Cool huh?
