Saddle, tyres and tubes, and the fixie is complete....option of running brakes also. Took another 2in off the fork. I don't think I can slam her down to the max and feel comfy...I ain't getting younger or more supple.
It's totally different? You know me....trying different styles out, just for the experience. Imagine cruising down the dusty outback on this single speed heading for the beach....no oil/air/shock settings, high expense or weight...just get on and cruise. Cheap to run and build bro...???
I tried the Wilier down the park fixed....really hard slowing down on bends, in and out around people whilst still trying to ride and keep momentum. I see some vids of riders strapped in to the pedals, locking the rear wheel for a second to slow down, also the back bunny hop technique? Lifting the back end up slightly, locking the back wheel, like skipping skids to slow the momentum down....this is going to be a laugh, or put me in hospital lol !!!
She ain't that bad....I raised the stem, and chopped off another 2in off the fork steerer, so she feels not too high-not too low. I'm running the stem -* also to match the top tube geometry and bar level. Waiting for the tyres now, but got some stuff coming for the Wilier also.
