Hi, how did you get the red piston (with 12 holes, 4 bigger and 8 smaller) off the end of shaft? I managed to get off the shims undoing the 10mm hex nut, but I have no idea how I get this red piston off. Tried to stick some heavy lockring pliers into two big opposing holes, but the thing just won't budge. Is there a reverse thread or something I am missing?

 Red thing with pin spanner or block wise but all of those was special made by my friends father.
Oil bel Ray hvi 5w. For Red thing some heat must be treated ( loctite on threads). You can generally measure it OD and Fing some thing aka or pedal axle holder. Park tool make them.

 OK I got it. Just used a 1 inch handlebar clamp of a standard stem.
