 2.4lbs rear wheel

SICK

Tools....

spelled T O O L S

DT Swiss 2.0 / 1.8 DB spokes
black and silver nips to separate between drive and non drive side spokes

red going next to the valve hole (just for shits N giggles --- not like you can't find the valve with that big yellow Derby logo).

I don't care for bike brand spoke prep --- I make my own mixing red and blue Loctite.

slow moving build --- the deepness of the rim is just a tick deeper than the nipple driver... gotta be a little creative lacing these wheels --- careful not to drop a nipple inside the rim cause it aint coming out if it does. rim is very concave and the hole are pretty small. the combo spells trouble if a nip falls in. knock on wood... taint happened yet. on to the front wheel now TTFN

Thread the back end (bulb end) of the nipple onto another loose spoke in hand and then you can just get it through the hole and when you screw the nipple onto the spoke coming off the hub, it will unscrew from the spoke you used to guide it in.

yup - dats what I be doing... this is for sure the deepest off-road rim I have ever messed with, access hole to the nipple holes appear to be slightly smaller than traditional rims making it just a tad bit tricky. I have a deep-dish nipple driver designed for rims like this but, that doesn't prevent the nipple from falling into the rim...ha -- I'd use it but, I can't find it... and I'm not buying another just for this one wheelset
