I'm thinking that one of these Patrol frames should be the next bike I build after the Switchback. I have no idea about rear shock absorbunators and I'm sure the frame doesn't come with one so I'd be needing to buy one to suit the frame/bike.

What do advise rear shock wise, I'd have a Pike 160 upfront so would most likely match with the same brand. Are Rockshox good ones?..or another brand?

I think the shock you have fitted is the one I was looking at getting.

Thanks..Smile

Hey mate, it would be a good choice, it is a fab bike!
The rear shock does actually come with the frame. It is an RS Monarch Plus RC3 Debonair. The jury is still out on this shock, a lot of people are struggling to get the shock to work to their liking with this frame, but i am happy that are a lot of messing around that I have it right. The other option (expensive) is to replace it with a Cane Creek DB shock.
As for the forks, they are pretty good, I am not sure they are better or worse than the fox forks that I have on the Cotic, but they work nicely and i wanted all components on this really bright orange frame to be black. Not the best reason for choosing forks, but the are regarded as an equal for the fox forks. I hope that this helps

Yeah nice one thanks. I've seen some frames that say 'frame only' and are £1259.96..so I presume these ones I've seen here are without a shock.

i think that will actually have the shock, you may have to check with them. Transition ship all frames with the shock in place. I only paid £1250 for my frame with the shock. TR frames are exceptional value, they don't try and violate your wallet like most of the other big names out there.
