How come you guys didn't go with a sliding dropout? Would be fun to slam that 650b+ tire to the seat tube.

The EPO was designed as the first carbon 29er all mountain hardtail with aggressive geo. We incorporated 16.3" chainstays, while still leaving room for proper clearances. That is the shortest we wanted to go to retain proper trail feel. The EPO comes in at 1250g, adding sliders would greatly impact the overall weight of our new bike. We posted the 27.5+ images to show that it has clearances to run this wheelsize, although we prefer the EPO with 29's as it was designed.

Thanks for taking the time to explain. I am assuming that it is boost 148 rear then? And could you punch Gollub in the leg for me pretty please?

All the specs can be found directly on our website. The EPO runs a 142x12 rear.

Is this built with a 29er fork or a 27.5+ specific fork?

We used the 29er Pike with the 51mm offset.

Cool, thanks, I think the 27.5+ set up EPO is my next bike, since I also have a set of 29" hoops sitting around it makes it dual purpose for me
