Yeah, bit of a mini-whipeout, which cased me to snag a tree, I went over the bars, bike used next tree, and the lever to stop.

Worse of it all is they don´t make these levers anymore

 that sucks, good excuse to buy some nice new brakes tho, maybe you can find some new old stock somewhere, worth trying here (pb) 1st

 I looked pretty good and nothing of the type. Seems Cane Creek has shifted focus to CX and road levers (some bmx can still be found).

Went and got a pair of Dial 7s at the LBS since those are pretty much the only decent cheap levers around. Just about everything else was about double (but not necessarily twice as good )

 ah shame it could of been much worse and more expensive with hydro's.
yes i agree on stuff that costs a fortune doesn't always mean its 'better' than the similar more affordable versions, im glad you got sorted at your LBS, now you just need a chainsaw to sort your dangerous trails out!
